About school education

In some things Asians became pioneers, and now their approach is geared up by other countries. The basic principle is that it is necessary to look at education since childhood that is people define what to do to it in life not after school, and earlier. In Asia process of career guidance was put on a stream, and now school students in age of 10 know what is interesting to them. It is clear that it means not a choice of concrete specialty, but the directions of development. But thus a person starts going on the chosen line, but don't jump to the right to the left and don't spend time and forces for this.

"IT Park" works with schools, average special educational institutions, that is we try to be engaged in career guidance with children. We have programs for training of children who would like to connect themselves with branch of information technologies. Our key task — at school to explain to a person what is IT, to show how it works why it is interesting, to explain prospects and availability of the educational environment. Programming languages become simpler; programs of training are also for preschool age: there is a robotics programming language which the five-year-old child can master.

On our courses for school students of 10-15 years study. Besides, we show them the business incubator where there are examples motivating them: one of projects was based by tenth-graders, another — eighth-graders. These are the full businesses only registered on names of parents as their founders didn't reach adulthood yet. One, for example, wrote the selling mobile application: at the time of release from business incubator it was for 15 years, the revenue of the company made more than 1,5 million rubles a month. School students, who see them, understand that it is not a myth that it is possible to earn money with the mind, and not just dragging bags, that is a traditional way of a side job.

Efficiency of secondary education

We also try to restore secondary education in the country, and it is very important tendency. We cooperate with the Kazan technical school of information technologies and communications founded in 1932, one of the oldest technical schools in Russia. Few years ago we started the program of secondary professional education for IT specialists. That is after the 9th class children study three or four years in technical school and finish it till 20 years. Practice showed, what even the first graduates of this program are better experts, than graduates of traditional IT specialties in higher education institutions.

it isn't necessary to study 6 years To start programming. Courses on one of languages of our "IT academy" last from three to six months, and it is quite enough. After it is necessary to look for him, it is possible to do the business, to work in the company or at freelance.

Problems of the higher education

In 2011 on the basis of the Kazan federal university we created a faculty in which fundamental base on mathematics and physics was included and added with powerful practical part — invited a set of the IT companies they to open the laboratories. Thus, the first half of a day children attend lectures and seminars, then — live work on real tasks. It turns out that from the fourth year all of them are already employed: the companies simply take away them.

We are not really able to impart experience and if we find skill, we consider it competitive advantage about which nobody can be told.

The other problem concerns the faculty. Unfortunately, today in the majority of higher education institutions the principle of work of professors is still focused on a salary while in structure of the income of teachers of the leading higher education institutions of the world the salary makes about 15-20%, the rest is the income from development, patents, own projects and business. It can't be forbidden by no means, it should be encouraged that there was a motivation to development in the professional environment. We try to be engaged in it, point wise in separate higher education institutions it works, but it is necessary to solve a problem in large quantities because the most part of interesting businesses after all is born in higher education institutions. Professor comes with the initiative, gathers group of graduate students, laboratory assistants who participate in development and create a startup, distribute shares in it, actively develop and so on. Classical model of modern higher education institution is MIT where development is commercialized, everybody is motivated, there are own funds which make a big share of success of beginners of projects.

Recently we started Life accelerator which essence is to look for interesting projects in higher education institutions, to invite them to ourselves before they give on the demand to business incubator. it is the preincubatory program for those who has an idea which needs to be built from the point of view of business. It is an ungrateful initiative as the exhaust will be small: 2-3 will go to the following stage from 20 projects. But if it is more, we will be madly glad. And it isn't quality of ideas; the idea is only 20% of success.

Additional skills

We don't have enough desire to study. We are, probably, in general not really able to impart experience and if we find skill, we consider it competitive advantage which nobody can be told. It concerns also ideas: a lot of people are afraid that it will surely steal that has nothing in common with reality: it is simpler to buy the ready decision to any investor.

In Tatarstan programs also work which main objective it isn't simple to teach to program, but also to work in team . Sometimes even very good idea isn't realized because people aren't able to listen, don't want to change. Especially it is peculiar to technicians who think of technologies much, and just a little about business. It is the key moment therefore to learn to listen to the most important. There are methodologies how to make the successful project, but it will turn out at the person or not depends on, whether he will hear them. It isn't obligatory to be born the businessman, but it is necessary to cultivate in itself the ability to conduct dialogue. It is important and for collaboration between branches. Today's technological break is connected with that one industry wants and is able to communicate with another: the chemist with the biologist, the biologist with the physicist, the mathematician with the writer. The best decisions stand on a joint.
